WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Ashley Focht delivered a game-high eight kills to lead West Chester to a dominating 3-0 victory over Nyack in the third game of the WCU Tournament (30-8, 30-7, 30-16) Friday night.
West Chester extended its season-opening winning streak to a school-record 11 games with its second win of the day. The Golden Rams also glided by Goldey-Beacom, 3-0, in the first game of the afternoon triple-header.
Goldey Beacom (1-6) topped Nyack (0-2) in the other contest sandwiched between West Chester’s two games.
The Golden Rams have won 24 of their last 25 games within the 11-match winning streak. Senior is hitting over .300 with a team-high 136 kills.
Lisa Yeasted posted 29 assists and Ashley Zech (York, Pa./West York) recorded 11 digs for West Chester.
On Saturday, the Golden Rams face Goldey-Beacom at 10 a.m. and Nyack at 2 p.m. In between those two games, at 12 p.m., Goldey-Beacom will face Nyack.
